What to expect at a Mama Time buggy walk
31 October 2026 · 3 min readOur buggy walks will be one of the easiest ways to meet other mums: fresh air, an easy pace and a warm drink at the end. Here's how a walk will work.
Not every gathering needs a table. Our buggy walks will be relaxed, sociable strolls for mums and babies across South Hertfordshire and Cuffley. They're perfect if you'd like company but don't fancy sitting still for two hours.
The pace
Gentle. We'll walk at the speed of the slowest pram and stop whenever someone needs to feed or change, so nobody is left behind. It's a chat, not a workout.
The route
We'll choose pram-friendly routes with firm paths and as few stiles and steps as possible, usually around an hour long. Every walk will finish somewhere that serves good coffee. Routes and meeting points are being planned now and will be shared when dates are confirmed.
What to bring
- Your pram, buggy or sling
- Comfortable shoes and a layer for the weather
- Your changing bag
- A raincover. This is England, after all
How booking will work
Our first walks are being planned now. Register your interest (it's free) and tell us which days suit you. When a date is confirmed, you'll hear first and can book securely online. Your confirmation email will include the date, time, meeting point and a map. Places will be kept small so everyone can actually talk.
What if it rains?
In light rain, we'll still walk. If the weather is truly wild, we'll email you the day before to move the walk or switch it to a coffee stop.
